Cuphea hyssopifolia ‘Allyson’

Such a cute glossy shrublet, blooming nonstop with small pinkish purple flowers spring to frost. With deep green, glossy foliage and flowers arranged in tiers, there’s something quite elegant about this tiny plant. I’ve had Cuphea overwinter here in the PNW in a protected location, but she’s only hardy to 25 degrees, so protection is in order where hardiness is questionable. ‘Allyson’ is a cutie and makes a nice container addition or can be used as an annual in all zones. Ht 1-2’ Happy with rich moist soil in sun to part shade. Tender perennial.
