Hydrangea paniculata ‘Sunday Fraise’

A new hydrangea similar to ‘Vanilla Fraise’ but much more compact, making it easy to incorporate into a smaller garden. ‘Sunday Fraise’ grows just four feet tall and wide smothered in a perfect strawberry shade. The large, conical flower clusters open white, transitioning by mid-summer into a perfect shade of strawberry pink and holding that color through fall. Paniculata hydrangeas are an easy-to-care-for shrub with extra sun and heat and cold tolerance that will grow in full sun or partial shade. So forgiving, so easy and so beautiful. They prefer more sun than their Hydrangea macrophylla cousins. Spectacular cut flowers! Zone 3-9
