Chelone obliqua ‘Tiny Tortuga’

A compact dwarf version of ‘Hot Lips’, with the same deep pink flowers resembling large Snapdragon buds or snapping turtle lips. The leaves emerge in the spring in shades of bronze and turn to deep green as the flowers emerge in July and August. Descended from the native turtlehead, it tolerates soggy feet making it a great choice for a native, rain garden. Deer rabbit resistant. Slowly spreads when happy in moist soil. Ht 16″x 24″ Zone 3-9
