Campanula ‘Serastro’

GINORMOUS purple bell-shaped flowers will stop garden visitors in their tracks. We can thank Christian Kress from Austria for breeding the best Bellflower ever! It is a cross between c.trachelium var.hodoensis and c.punctata It’s a moderate spreader that’s sterile so all her energy goes toward blooming her heart out. She has a compact habit to about 2 ft tall with huge rich violet – blue flowers which can measure up to 3 1/2 inches long! If pruned by half or two thirds after the main flowering in late spring it produces shorter stems again covered in flowers, extending flowering to 3-4 months. Enjoys full sun to part shade in rich composty soil. Deer and rabbit resistant. Deciduous. Perennial zone 4-9
