Aster divaricatus ‘White Wood Aster’ Syn: Eurybia divaricata

Creates a frothy fairyland of glowing white flowers with tiny yellow centers late summer- fall. White wood aster is one of my favorite fall plants. This eastern native is so easy, it’s one of the precious few that bloom heavily in dry shade! It’s a weed smothering perennial groundcover that grows 2’ tall and 2-4’ wide. The flower center fades to a lovely burgundy held on black, stems providing a strong contrast with the white petals. A must in the woodland garden or along shady paths! Part sun-Full shade. Zone 3-8
