Francoa sonchifolia ‘Molly Anderson’ (Bridal Wreath)

Lovely plant for a shade garden or woodland path. This hardy alpine plant native to Chile is rarely seen. These should be used more often. Flowering from late June – September. Upright wands with cherry red buds open to soft rose pink flowers with vivid red blotches in the center that add depth. The airy wands of flowers were a popular choice to weave into bridal wreaths which is the common name,’ Bridal Wreath’ Tidy basal foliage is a low mounding evergreen with crinkly lobed fuzzy leaves, much like a furry heuchera, which they are related to. Franchoa is happy in moist well-drained soil in light shade. Perennial.
