Disporopsis pernyi (Evergreen Solomons Seal) (Asian Fairy Bells)

This glossy evergreen denizen of Asian woodlands forms elegant colonies in shady areas. Spreads by rhizomatous roots to make a nice low groundcover only 16” tall. Sweet bell-shaped white flowers with pale green tips dangle on the undersides of the arching stems. The blooms have a light lemon perfume. Low arching form allows this Evergreen Solomans Seal to fill in and provide texture to woodland neighbors without overtaking them. Try pairing with hostas, brunneras, epimediums, corydalis and ferns.
