Oxalis tetraphylla ‘Iron Cross’

AKA Oxalis deppei Interesting foliage mound with 4 heart-shaped leaflets sporting a burgundy center appearing like a cross. Sprays of rosy-pink blossoms in summer. High on the cuteness scale as a lush non-invasive pop of foliage. The leaves fold up like little umbrellas at night and reopen the following morning. Excellent border, container or houseplant. Zone 7b-10 Ht 12” x 12” Wide As with other oxalis the leaves are edible. They have a tangy lemon taste and make a nice salad addition, but due to Oxalic acid content… should be used in moderation.
