Oxydendrum arboreum ‘Sourwood’

This lovely tree will charm you all summer with it’s shiny green leaves. Beginning in July a fountain of flowers cascades from the tree tops, lasting into Fall. This long blooming tree is the source of the much beloved Sourwood Honey. The Sourwood is one of the first trees to color in the Fall when it bursts forth into a breathtaking display of burgundy and red. Adds Winter interest with deeply furrowed bark. Medium sized slow growing tree H20-30’ x W10-15’ It will flower and color best in full sun.
