Variegated Figwort

Brilliant foliage plant sporting dark green ovoid leaves with wide white margins. Usually 4’ tall. When happy it can soar up to 6 ft. for a dramatic garden feature. Beautiful mid- border with darker evergreens behind to make it pop. Evergreen in mild winters, but looks best with a hard cutback in fall/ winter. Cut back anytime foliage looks tired and it will bounce back with fresh crisp foliage. Insignificant flowers. This one is all about the foliage. Enjoys rich moist soil in sun or part shade. Perfect pondside or in boggy areas, but does fine in regular garden conditions with regular irrigation. Beautiful in large containers. Clumps can be divided in early spring.
