Sinningia tubiflora ‘Alba’ (Tube Flowered Hardy White Gloxinia)

The large 6” fragrant white flowers have elongated tubes with flared tips. They dangle well above the fuzzy foliage all summer on 20” tall stems; creating an illusion of hovering mid-air. Very cool! A must have for a moon garden. Hummers and garden visitors alike will be lusting after these sweet flowers. Surprisingly hardy and easy for something that looks so tropical. Groupings of this hardy Gloxinia are show-stoppers. Luckily it spreads readily from underground tubers. Worthy of a dedicated spot to allow it to fill in. Grows anywhere from sun to part shade in evenly moist humus rich soil. Deciduous Perennial. Hardy Zones 7-10
