Frittilaria Meleagris ‘Checkered Lilly’ ‘Guinea Hen’

Sweet bell-shaped blooms dangle on wiry stems above grassy foliage. They look like charming little fairy lanterns. Blooming in shades of purple or white with a faint checkerboard pattern. Native to the moist woods they naturalize easily in a shade or sun border with ample winter moisture. Zone 4-8 ht. 1-2’ The bulbs have a faint skunky odor, which repels deer and rodents, including voles.
