Echibeckia Summerina Orange

An Echinacea and a Rudbeckia had a secret love affair and the offspring is an entirely new perennial to enjoy. ‘Echibeckia’ features longer bloom-times, longer lasting flowers which are exceptionally showy and large. It combines the showy flowers of Rudbeckia with the hardiness of Echinacea. Part of the PP&L ‘Summerina series of Echibeckia. The large flowers have harvest colors with orange petals surrounding a darker dusky- orange inner halo and a dark brown cone. Bees and Butterflies gather all summer through fall and birds enjoy the winter seed heads. Enjoys full sun and moderately fertile well drained soil. Low water once established and deer prefer to dine elsewhere. So easy for those difficult sites or containers. Try combining Echibeckia with low water xeriscape plants like, solidago, perovskia, helianthus all fronting a large Manzanita. Perennial Zone 7-10 Ht 18’-24”
