Astilbe chinensis ‘Dark Side of the Moon’

Dark Side of the Moon is the only dark foliaged astilbe with purple flowers. Happiest in moist soil, but handles some occasional drought. Foliage emerges with a yellow blush and dark margins transitioning to a glossy luscious dark chocolate color by summer. Dark purple flowers late summer. Best color in sun to light shade. Deer & rabbit resistant. Ht 22” Zone 4-9
