Rose ‘Sally Holmes’ Climbing Rose

When I first saw “Sally Holmes” blanketing the entrance to the Portland Rose test gardens I knew I had to have it. It creates a stunning wall of pure white set against disease resistant foliage. Old fashioned 4″ fluffy blooms with yellow stamens blanket this rose from late Spring to Fall. They emerge with a slight blush and age to white even in my we PNW climate. I’ve never needed to spray it. Prefers full sun in compost soil but will tolerate some shade. May be grown as a large back of the border shrub at about 5’H or give it something to climb for a spectacular display up to 12’H x 5’W Zone 5-9.
