Hydrangea ‘Puffer Fish’

Puffer Fish panicle hydrangea is an exciting new introduction. She boasts huge puffy blooms made up of hundreds of starry, snow white flowers, held on strong stems. No floppy flowers here! The snowy blooms age to a soft lime green and an unusual puff of white flowers emerge late season from the tips. I’m massing them in full sun in my moon garden. These dwarf hydrangeas prefer full sun and can handle heat and drought more than the macrophylla hydrangeas. Paniculata hydrangeas are a smart garden addition for the coming earth changes. Compared to Bobo, Puffer Fish has bigger, fuller more blousy blooms and more of them. Though it looks delicate, ‘Puffer Fish’ is a resilient landscape performer. Hardy zones 3-8 and only 4-5 ft tall and wide.
