Fuchsia Katjan (Hardy Fuchsia)

Hummingbirds are delighted by the single red tubular flowers summer till frost. Forms a lovely rounded shrub in part shade. Offer regular water and organically rich soil for best performance. As with all fuchsias you can plant the crown deeper like a tomato to increase hardiness. Ht. 2-3′ x W. 1-2’’. Wait until after the last frost to cut back stems to new growth. In warmer climates fuchsias can remain evergreen and bloom all year, but here in the PNW they usually sleep through the winter and reemerge mid spring. Katjan is extra hardy in zones 7-10
