Phlox stolonifera ‘Home Fires’

Phlox Home fires has gorgeous vivid pink flowers spring into mid-Summer. Carpeting a woodland or shady path it slowly spreads by underground stolons forming lovely drifts. So easy… it’s one of the precious few that bloom heavily in dry shade! Home fires can really light up a shady garden. Evergreen foliage. This rosy-pink one was discovered by plantsman Edgar T. Wherry. Likes moist, well drained humus rich soil in part shade, but is very drought tolerant once established. Valuable early nectar source for pollinators. Ht 1ft spread 2 ft + zone 5-8
