Farfugium Giganteum (Giant Leopard Plant)

Fabulous shade plant and a wonderful conversation piece featuring big, dinner plate sized glossy leaves. Sometimes called ‘Tractor Seat’ plant, because the large oval leaves really do have the shape of a tractor seat. Farfugiums are one of my favorite foliage plants & can add texture, dimension & interest to a shady garden. Forms a mound 3’ tall x 24″ wide, topped with wands of yellow daisies in fall. Particularly happy in organically rich soil where it can be kept slightly moist & will tolerate boggy areas. May wilt when dry, but still has good drought tolerance. Deer resistant. Looks amazing paired w/ large ferns or finer textured plants. Zone 7-9
