Vaccinium moupinense ‘Himalayan Blueberry’

Attractive dwarf, low growing evergreen shrublet with glossy dark green evergreen leaves. The leathery leaves take on an interesting reddish or salmon colored tint in Winter. Red lantern-shaped flowers turn to small purple, antioxidant rich edible berries in Fall. The compact size easily tucks in nooks of shrub borders adding year-round interest. Also looks nice in mixed containers or rock gardens. Native to high elevations of China and Western Schishuan. Likes rich well-draining organic soil in Sun to part shade. Evergreen Ht. 1’-2’ Zone 5-7
