Ribes uva-crispa ‘Little Ben’ Gooseberry

Small, yellow-green flowers in spring are followed by plentiful, large fruit that ripens to red in mid summer, A compact, dwarf selection of Hinnonmaki Red, with a more garden friendly size, noted for it’s outstanding flavor and high yields. The large red berries arrive in late-summer and have a sweet center and tart skin. Wonderful fresh and makes a great jam or syrup. Mildew resistant, self-fertile with very little to no thorns. Maturing at 2-3 ft making it a well-behaved edible landscape addition. Deciduous. You can trim out older damaged branches, because fruit is produced on younger new branches. Sun-part shade. Extremely hardy zone 3-9
