Prunus Plum ‘Jam Session’

Jam session plums are a highly productive variety developed at Cornell University. Intense indigo plums with a pale bloom are stunning dangling from the tree. Sweet with a slight tart astringency makes them a choice variety not only for fresh eating, but for AWESOME plum wine, jams, sauces, chutneys or dried as prunes. Jam Session Plum can produce thousands of freestone plums when mature and may need to be thinned a bit to keep it productive each year. Happy in full sun or at least 6 hrs of sun.

Grafted onto the Semi-dwarf rootstock Marianna which produces trees 12’-15’ in height or less. Pollination Requirements: Partially self-fertile. Plant with another early European variety for best crops. Zone 5-9
