Monarda ‘Jacob Cline’ (Bee Balm)

Ginormous true red flowers are a butterfly and hummingbird magnet and an absolute stunner in my red garden! No worries about disease on this beauty. Deer and rabbit resistant. The fragrant foliage is edible and makes a wonderful tea herb. Jacob Cline, Bee Balm is a tall variety that has a powerful garden presence. In my opinion,’ Jacob Cline’ is the best red Bee Balm ever! Try it mid border and allow some room for her to spread. I like to plant her in front of an evergreen backdrop to highlight the stunning red flowers. Best performance is in well drained rich soil in sun-part shade, but she’s so forgiving and can handle less than ideal conditions. Ht 3-4’ Perennial, Zones 4-9
