Epimedium x pe. ‘Frohnleiten’

Fairy Wings, Bishop’s hat, Barrenwort, Horny Goat Weed.  Tough shiny, heart shaped evergreen leaves emerge with red mottling & chartreuse veins. Very drought tolerant variety is perfect as a groundcover for dry shade under trees. Sprays of cheery yellow flowers in Spring are held well above the foliage. Spreads 6-8″ per year by rhizomes.Evergreen, but looks fresh if sheared in early Spring prior to flowering. TAG: Red mottled evergreen heart shaped leaves. Cheerful yellow flowers.
