This new hardy Begonia introduction bred by,’ Ozzie Johnson’ is truly lust worthy! Ginormous dark green palmate leaves have a thick overlay of silver, mint green and heavy veining with tints of pink. This beauty will illuminate a shady garden or container and set your heart a flutter! Sprays of delicate flowers in hues of pink, red and salmon rise above the foliage on strong stems and continue their performance until frost. Deer resistant. Happiest in well drained loamy soil in part sun- dappled shade with reasonable water. More sun tolerant than others. Deciduous and dormant in winter. As with all hardy begonias, ‘Sterling Moon’, is a bit late to emerge in spring, so try underplanting with spring ephemerals like snowdrops. Perennial Hardy down to zone 7a. 24-30″ tall by 24-20″ wide.
