An improvement over most gooseberry cultivars, Jeanne has high disease resistance to powdery mildew and other fungal diseases, resulting in an overall healthier bush and increased productivity. The deep-maroon fruits are plump, sweet and dessert quality ripening mid-late July. Part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Plant with good air circulation to help prevent mildew and fungus.
