Care of Manju Clematis: Planting slightly deeper than the crown and at an angle will encourage more stems from the base. Plant in rich, well- drained soil in full-part sun. The roots prefer some shade. Deadheading spent flowers encourages more blooms. Easily scrambles up any fence, shrub , obelisk or trellis. Manju Clematis is classified as pruning group 3, so it’s a perfect clematis for beginners. Simply ,cut back all old stems to the lowest pair of healthy buds (6in-1ft) above soil level in late winter or very early spring.
