Salvia x guaranitica ‘Bodacious Smokey Jazz’

Fabulous new hardy salvia that will rock your summer through fall garden with vibrant purple berry colored flowers set against dusky black calyxes and healthy green foliage. This is one sexy salvia. Sure to be the talk of the town with your hummingbirds, but the deer will turn up their noses at the anice scent. Nice rounded form 3’-4’ x 3’ with exceptional landscape performance. Reliably hardy in zones 7-10 Hardy to 10 degrees but also makes a nice annual in colder areas. Easy to grow in compost enriched soil with good drainage and full sun. Quite drought tolerant once established, but looks it’s best with some water during dry spells. Cut back in spring just above new growth and deadhead to encourage a second bloom.
