Gallium odoratum Sweet Woodruff

Enchanting evergreen groundcover and a culinary herb. Very soft , fragrant and textural. Pairs nicely with the bold and interesting foliage of Hostas, Brunnera or Japanese forest grass. Starry whorls of leaves and lacy snow white flowers. Spreads by underground runners to form a soft weed smothering carpet. If it gets out of bounds, simply use a spade to edge it. Evergreen in mild winter areas Try it as an edging plant or between stepping stones or cascading off a wall in shade. Shallow roots make it a wonderful choice under trees. Deer and slug resistant.
