Magnolia laevifolia

Dense evergreen magnolia with glossy rounded leaves and brown fuzzy indentum (Fur) on the undersides. Can be pruned into a small tree form or allowed to grow as a shrub that can make a wonderful flowering screen. Deliciously fragrant white flowers have a lemony floral fragrance in spring followed by delightful fuzzy seedpods that add interest. Light summer water needs once established. Formerly known as Michelia yunnanensis.
