Ceanothus ‘Lemon Ice’

An exciting new cultivar of Ceanothus with variegated gold and green foliage. Sweetly fragrant sky blue flowers cover this upright evergreen shrub in Spring to the delight of honeybees and butterflies. As a California native it’s a native it’s very drought-tolerant. As an evergreen it creates year- round interest and makes a wonderful screening bush. For an eye catching combination pair it with plants with dark foliage, like Thundercloud Plum, Loropetalum, Diablo ninebark , Black Lace or Black Beauty Elderberry. ‘Lemon Ice’ has a broad upright habit and becomes 49″ tall and 30″ wide. This Ceanothus prefers a place in the sun or semi shade and can be planted in any soil. The evergreen ‘Lemon Ice’ is hardy to USDA Zone 6a.
